The LAWA Scholarship awards $1500-$2000 (with a potential match from corporate sponsors or partnering Universities) to Latino HS students in the Charlotte and surrounding area attending a 2 or 4 year college/university. Our scholarship program is unique in that it is renewable every year the student attends college as long as he/she meets continued requirements.
LAWA has extended the application deadline to April 1 (from March 15) because we want to give as much opportunity for eligible students to apply. Specifically, we have one donor who is interested in awarding a $5000 scholarship to an applicant who plans on going into a STEM career.
